Laksa brief

We had a Laksa feast last weekend. Trusty ol’ Prima Taste Laksa mix. They do it best. I tried to make fish balls, but failed to achieve the right texture – the bounciness just wasn’t there. I also didn’t have the right noodles, and made the mistake of using northern Chinese style noodles instead. A flat taste, heavy and tacky. No matter, good company and interesting conversation more than made up for the imperfections.

Needles to say, I had Laksa broth for several meals thereafter. I love the orangey color of Laksa, and it is always good to tuck into some nostalgia every so often. It was good. No need for further elaboration or embellishment. 🙂
