Vegemite is the traditional Aussie spread. Similar to the British Bovril and Marmite, it is dark, pasty and very salty. I grew up on Bovril and Marmite, and was introduced to Vegemite later in my early teens. Me, I love anything salty, and so Vegemite too!
Here I am in Australia, the land of Vegemite. Of course, I just had to get a bottle! It’s good with lots of stuff in lots of ways, but here is a simple snack I made for myself after a lovely brisk walk with Lucy.
Vegemite and lettuce sandwich. In the meantime, Lucy munched on a dentastix.
